A guide to the care of plaster candles
️ Preparing the place:
Place the candle on a stable surface to avoid the risk of tipping over or falling. Avoid places where there may be drafts.
Gently dilute the wax:
The first time you light the candle, it should last long enough for the entire top layer of wax to melt evenly, creating a floating "puddle" of wax. This will help avoid possible tunneling and ensure even combustion in the future.
Wick Length:
After each use, support the wick about 0.5-1 cm to obtain an optimal flame and avoid excessive smoke.
🛑 Tunneling Prevention:
Avoid burning the candle for short periods of time to avoid creating uneven tunnels in the wax. Allow the wax to burn to the edges for an even burn.
❌ Avoid drafts:
If the candle is smoking, the wick may be too long or the candle may be in a draft. Cut the wick or move the candle to a windless place.
🕰️ End use:
Stop using the candle, leaving about 1 cm of wax at the bottom to maintain the integral appearance of the mold.
